Developmental League vs. Select Team

 

If your child is serious about learning the game of basketball, Baskets Academy is the place for them. Here, we teach your child how to play the game of basketball, starting with fundamentals. We teach skill enhancements to over-all knowledge of the game and assist players in reaching their full potential. 


At Baskets Academy we provide group and personal training sessions throughout the year and host camps, tournament teams, and league play. Take a look at what our Developmental League and Select Teams have to offer. 


Developmental League

Our Developmental League is for players of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced players in 1st-9th grade. There is no tryout for this league, so everyone is welcome. The program will run from Saturday, July 11th until Saturday, August 29th. To register for our Developmental League, click here. The league registration includes: 

  • A minimum of 7 games

  • 4 training sessions

  • 1 reversible uniform jersey


Select Team

The select program at Baskets Academy is designed for intermediate and advanced players only. This program is all about exposure to the fastest and most skilled youth athletes in the Houston area. Our select teams will compete against some of the best talents in Texas and the nation. Our Select Teams will also train and play more games than our developmental leagues. Each team will play in 2 tournaments a month all across the Houston area and will also average 2 training sessions per week. 


Select Team (1 month) 


Our 1-month Select Team is available for intermediate and advanced players in 3rd-9th grade. The cost of our 1-month Select Team is $200, with a uniform fee of $50. To register for this select team click here. The Select Team registration includes:

  • A minimum of 6 tournament games

  • A minimum of 8 training/practice sessions

  • Team tournament fee registrations

  • Free or discounted registration to Baskets Academy Summer Camp and Clinics


Select Team (3 months)


Our 3-month Select Team is also for intermediate and advanced players in 3rd-9th grade and costs $200 with a $50 uniform fee. To register for this team, click here. 


The Select Team registration includes:  

  • A minimum of 18 tournament games

  • A  minimum of 24 training/practice sessions

  • Team tournament fee registrations

  • Free or discounted registration to Baskets Academy Summer Camp and clinics
